What is the Workforce Training Fund

The Workforce Training fund is a Massachusetts fund providing Massachusetts businesses with funding and resources to train and re-train employees. The fund is financed entirely by Massachusetts employees who make contributions through their unemployment insurance contributions.

There are two programs available to CS East clients, the General Program and the Express program. Most clients utilize the express program due to the easy application process. The General Fund is aimed at larger projects (up to $250,000.)

Express Program – ** Up to 100% Funding for Businesses under 100 Employees **

Under the Express Program, businesses can apply for a grant up to $30,000 per calendar year and $3,000 per employee. For businesses under 100 employees, the State contributes up to 100% of the cost of the funded training through re-reimbursement once the training has been completed. For businesses over 100 employees, the State contributes up to 50% of the cost. Funding can be used to train new and existing employees in all aspects of training including Quality Management System training (ISO 9001, AS9100, 13485, etc.,) Environmental Management System training (ISO 14001), Quality or Environmental Manager training, Risk Management, Internal Auditor training.
